The Providence Sky Chiefs (7-2) defeated the (7-3) Philidelphia Spirt 119-109 on Saturday night at Brown's Pizzitola Center. The Sky Chiefs bounce back after having their six game winning streak snapped in the previous game. 

"We did a great job of pushing the ball, we had a couple of new guys, trying to get them acclimated. it was an ugly win but I'll take an ugly win over a pretty win any day" Sky Chiefs coach Kyle Ivey-Jones said after the game.

Providence led 56-38 at halftime but would go into a bit of a lull midway through the third quarter allowing the Spirit to cut their deficit to ten points, 65-55 but from that point, the Sky Chiefs would answer back and lead 93-69 at the end of the third quarter, putting the game just about out of reach. 

Shane DaRosa led the Sky Chiefs with 23 points in th game, 16 in the first quarter, while former URI star Keith Cothran added 16 points in his Sky Chiefs debut. 

The Philadelphia Spirit were led by Todd McCoy with 35 points, while Andrew Woodlin followed up with 29 points in the contest. 

The Sky Chiefs return to action on Saturday, December 27 at 8:30 p.m. when they host the Bronx Holy Flames at Brown's Pizzitola Center.
