Brown Lacrosse Opens Ivy League Tournament Tonight vs. Harvard

The Brown Bears men's lacrosse team kicks off their Ivy League tournament tonight when they host Harvard at Stevenson-Pincince Field at 8 p.m. The Bears enter the tournament as the top seed while Harvard enters as the 4 seed. The game can be viewed on ESPN3.
"I'm excited about the home field advantage in the Ivy League tournament but its because of the fan support. Our fans have been tremendous this season so we are excited to play in front of them," said Brown Head Coach Lars Tiffany.
The game is the second game of a double-header with the first game being 2nd seeded Yale vs 3rd seeded Cornell.

Brown vs. Harvard
Harvard lost to Brown 11-8 earlier this season and went 3-3 in the Ivy League and 7-7 overall. However, the crimson do have a signature win over Duke and lost by just one goal to Yale in the last game of the regular season.
The all-time series between Brown and Harvard is tied at 33, with the Bears winning the last two games. The Crimson's last win over Brown came in 2014 when they defeated the Bears 16-10 in Boston.
Ivy League Player & Coach of the Year
Brown leading scorer Dylan Molloy was named the unanimous Ivy League Player of the year for the second straight season. Molloy totaled 99 points (51 goals, 48 assists) ranking him 16th all-time in the NCAA record book.
Molloy is the 5th Ivy League player to win the award at least twice and the first unanimous Player of the year since 2012.
Meanwhile, Head Coach Lars Tiffany was named Ivy League Coach of the Year for the second straight season. Tiffany led Brown to a 14-1 record, an Ivy League regular season title and the top seed int he tournament.
Brown went 6-0 in Ivy League play.
