Fung and Raimondo in Dead Heat
According to an internal poll conducted by Public Opinion Strategies last week, Fung and Raimondo are in a numerical dead heat for the Governor's race.
Fung and Raimondo are tied at 42% and the balance of the electorate is undecided.
The results have a margin of error of 4.38%

Rhode Island GOP Files Objection to Healey Ballot Substitution
RI GOP Chairman Mark Smiley has filed an an objection with the Rhode Island State Board of Elections and the office of the Secretary of State.
This objection is in regard to the Moderate Party of Rhode Island's nomination of Mr. Robert J Healey, Jr. for Governor.

Gamba Receives National Endorsement
Sharon Gamba, Republican Candidate for House District 32, has received the endorsement of the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC)’s Future Majority Project.
Gamba was named one of the Right Women, Right Now,14 in’14 Races to Watch.
Jill Bader, Communications Director for the RSLC stated: “The RSLC recognizes outstanding candidates, like Sharon, who go above and beyond to run strong campaigns. Dawson Hodgson Receives Endorsement
The Rhode Island Brotherhood of Corrections Officers have endorsed Dawson Hodgson for Attorney General.
Dawson’s passion and common sense make him the perfect choice to run the AG’s office,” RIBCO President Richard Ferruccio said. “The criminal justice system is broken and getting worse every year. We need to demand change.”

Catherine Taylor Welcomes Endorsement From AFL-CIO
Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor Catherine Taylor has expressed her appreciation for the AFL-CIO’s's endorsement.
“I look forward to meeting with leaders of the AFL-CIO’s member unions to discuss their support for my candidacy,” Taylor said. “I’m gratified that the executive committee recognized my call for the elevation of status and pay for direct care workers and my reputation for proactive collaboration with union representation as director of the Division of Elderly Affairs.” As DEA director, Taylor was co-architect of the Rhode Island State Plan on Alzheimer’s, which recommends a pay increase for direct care workers with frail elders, adults with disabilities, and children with special health care needs.
