NAACP Providence Branch Executive Director Jim Vincent has called the end of Tuesday night's protest in Providence "disheartening," which saw over a hundred people take to Interstate 95, and five people arrested.

"I thought that was unfortunate and something I do not condone at all.  I don't condone shutting down highways putting people in jeopardy I don't think that's productive," said Vincent, who said he was not present at the end of the protest in reaction to the Ferguson decision.  "The headline should have read,"500 people protested peacefully."

Rhode Island State Police Superintendent Colonel Steven O'Donnell said the names of those arrested would be released Wednesday morning.

"Without question, I think the Providence Police and State Police handled it professionally," said O'Donnell of the incident, which took place at 9 P.M.  "They had all been briefed, there were no weapons used -- no tasers or spray."

"When the protesters went onto the highway, they were told to disperse.  Five people remained, and they were arrested," O'Donnell continued.  "We don't know anything of reports of accidents, but the potential for disaster was quite large, so they acted pretty quickly."

Below are those fifteen local police departments that have obtained military supplies, listed from least to most items acquired. The list does not include acquisition records for certain tactical weapons and supplies for which the Pentagon has refused to release department-specific data. (In those instances only county-level data has been released. That data is not included below.) Records are for recent acquisitions going back to 2009 and were obtained from the Defense Logistics Agency.
