NAACP Providence to Host Annual Freedom Fund Breakfast

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Providence branch is set to host their 104th Freedom Fund Breakfast to report on the findings of the State of Black Families in Rhode Island.
The breakfast will take place on Saturday, May 20 at 8:30 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel in Providence.

GET THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS HERE -- SIGN UP FOR GOLOCAL FREE DAILY EBLASTThe breakfast will feature a keynote address from Massachusetts ACLU attorney Carl Williams as well as RPM Voices of Rhode Island Choral singing the Negro National Anthem and Community Action Partnership of Providence's Executive Director, Melissa Husband is the Mistress of Ceremonies.
Williams was part as part of the legal defense and support team, during the Occupy Boston movement which provided nearly 24-hour support to the participants.
He joins a diverse list of young civil rights activist who deliver addresses to the Freedom Fund Breakfast.
Williams is a Rhode Island native and a graduate of the University of Rhode Rhode Island.
