Five Rhode Island nonprofit organizations have been ranked as the best in the country by GreatNonprofits.org.
GreatNonprofits.org released their 2015 Top-Rated Nonprofit list on Thursday recognizing the best charitable organizations in the United States.
The rankings seek to help donors and volunteers find the best charities during the upcoming holiday season. Americans are most likely to donate during the holiday season and near the end of the year, a time period also known as the “Season of Giving.”

GreatNonprofits.org is the largest site for donors and volunteers to find information about non-profit organizations. More than 20 million users use the site each year to learn about non-profits in their area.
