Mission Blue

newportFILM will host their last two outdoor screenings of the season. The two documentaries are Emptying the Skies and Mission Blue.

Emptying the Skies

On August 28, newportFILM will screen Emptying the Skies at the Norman Bird Sanctuary, 583 3rd Beach Road, Middletown. There will be a post-film Q&A with producer & co-director Roger Kass. This event is a joint fundraiser to benefit newportFILM & Norman Bird Sanctuary.

Two options are available for the evening:

$5/person suggested donation (donate at the door)

- Tallulah on Thames taco cart, Le Petit Gourmet & Boru Noodle Bar will be on-site selling food
- Picnics welcome
- NO smoking or pets

Mission Blue

Next week, on September 4, newportFILM will present Mission Blue at King Park, Wellington Avenue, Newport. Director Robert Nixon will be on hand for a Q&A following the screening.

Film begins at sunset (approx. 7:15PM)

- Pre-film music by Lainey Dionne, featuring Izzy Marcil
- Free bike valet courtesy of Bike Newport (tune ups for a small charge)
- Tallulah on Thames taco cart, Le Petit Gourmet & Boru Noodle Bar will be on-site selling food
