Downcity Presents Holiday Social Lineup

InDowncity, Cornish Associates and Aurora are teaming up to bring you their lineup of holiday events in Downcity with the Downcity Holiday Social.
This month of family-friendly programming will host complimentary activities every Saturday between Thanksgiving a Christmas.
All events will take place at Aurora in Providence and entry to all events will be free.
GET THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS HERE -- SIGN UP FOR GOLOCAL FREE DAILY EBLASTSome highlights of the event will include: an adults-only Bloody Mary bar and a complimentary bagel bar complete with fixings, a holiday film series, a polaroid photoshoot with Santa and this elves, a station to write letters to Santa courtesy of Paperworks, and local fare from vendors like Tallulah’s Tacos, Whole Foods, and Tricycle Ice Cream.
Here's their schedule of events:
November 29 12 p.m.- 6 p.m. : Small Business Saturday – Kick off your holiday shopping while supporting all of your favorite Downcity shops and restaurants with Small Business Saturday. Make a statement by shopping local and supporting your community’s small businesses. Pick up beautiful complimentary canvas tote bags at Aurora before you hit up the shopping. Participate in a #ShopSmall photo contest on Instagram & Twitter to win a gift certificate to your favorite Downcity shop. Stop by the Tallulah’s taco truck set up in Grant’s Block for a mid-day snack.
December 6 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. : Complimentary Holiday Performances and Crafts - Start out our day by shopping all your local Downcity favorites, and be sure to take a break over at Aurora to enjoy our special holiday programming. This Saturday Paperworks will be set up with complimentary paper crafts for kids along with their letters to Santa mailbox and we’ll have Festival Ballet performing excerpts from The Nutcracker and some amazing carolers stopping by from the Wheeler School. Stop by the Tallulah’s taco truck for a mid-day snack.
December 13 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. : Holiday Rock ‘n Roll Yard Sale – InDowncity and Aurora are excited to welcome What Cheer Records + Vintage’s the Providence Rock + Roll Yard Sale back for a special holiday event. Just in time for holiday shopping, Aurora will be jam-packed with great local vendors selling vinyl records, music stuff, vintage clothing and accessories, collectibles, jewelry, and DIY handmade goods. The hours will be 12-6pm and admission is free. What a great occasion to both find unique gifts and also support independent local sellers! Unique gifts galore!
December 20 – Hey, last minute shoppers…Downcity shops are still open and ready for you. Santa will be at Aurora and ready for a photo with you. While the kids visit with Santa, grab a Blood Mary and complimentary bagel bar in preparation for the last minute shopping, or pause at Aurora for some fun holiday movies and cartoons while enjoying cookies and cocoa.
