Maestros Chick Corea and Steve Gadd brought their smooth mix of jazz fusion to The VETS on Sunday.
The venerable duo was backed by the incomparable young lineup of Lionel Loueke on guitar; Steve Wilson on sax and flute; Carlitos Del Puerto on bass; and Luisito Quintero on percussion.
The band wowed the packed house with an inspired delivery of some easy listening groove.

Multi-Grammy Award winner Corea and renowned session drummer Gadd have collaborated in a relationship that spans over forty years.
Their music has been labeled as “game-changing” within the industry, bringing a new generation of artists to the jazz forefront. The show is the first in the Artistic Icons Series presented by FirstWorks. GoLocalProv was there to catch an evening of classic jazz fusion.
