We continue to offer thanks to local venues and area artists this weekend on GoLocalProv. We also bring you some Black Friday Record Store Day reminders on “5 Live Music Musts.”
Record Store Day

Support local businesses today especially your local music store where vinyl is king. A number of stores including In Your Ear, Olympic Records and What Cheer have specials all day long. What Cheer on Thayer has a special in store show with John Farone, Tapestries and Roz Raskin. Music begins at 2PM and its free!
America at Twin River
What’s the cure for the condition known as Black Friday Madness? The answer: America, the classic rock band and leader of the soft rock movement of the early 1970's, who plays Twin River tonight. The band is well known for hits like “Ventura Highway,” “Sister Golden Hair,” and “A Horse with No Name.” Tickets start at only $25 for the 8PM all ages show.
Black Friday at Dusk
There’s a Black Friday blowout tonight at Dusk featuring area bands Ravi Shavi, Viennagram, The Nutrinos and Indian Twin. The show is sponsored by Top 5 Fiend, a growing presence on the local Indie scene. Show starts at 9PM, tickets only $5 … that’s a buck twenty five a band! No excuses!
Blackstone River Theatre Homecoming Concert
Tomorrow night don't miss the annual Homecoming Concert at the Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland where Rhode Island folk/roots royalty will be performing. Artsits include Atwater-Donnelly, Eastern Medicine Singers, Phil Edmonds, Bertrand Laurence, Robbie O'Connell, Pendragon, and Mary Ann Rossoni & Rick Bellaire. There's also a silent auction to benefit the Theatre's programs. Tickets are $20 for the 7:30PM show.
The Schemers at the Met
Want some fun for once in your life? Thanksgiving weekend is a great time of year for “homecoming” gigs, and one of RI’s most famous bands, The Schemers, will be playing to the hometown crowd at The Met tomorrow night. The band ruled the region in the 1980's and promise to rock the house tomorrow night.Tickets are only $10 for the 8:30PM show.

MAE Organization for the Homeless helps homeless individuals and their families heal from the traumas and anxieties of their situation.
The organization needs funding for a new facility and basic winter accesories - like hats, gloves, and hand warmers - and toiletries for those in need.

Confetti Foundation uses donations to provide starter party kits for children who have to celebrate their birthdays in the hospital.
Each kit costs $22 to produce, and the organization is looking to reach it's goal of 500 boxes by December 31st this year.
