Elan Trotman Performing at Bryant University
Trotman is one of jazz's most thrilling and emotive performers. Trotman continues to stand out and push boundaries as a composer, performer, teacher and recording artist.
The performance begins at 7:30 p.m.
RI Songwriters with Chuck Williams at Sandywoods Center for the Arts
Get down to Sandywoods and listen to some great live music.
The live show will feature four artists, including folk artist Davey O, performing for 30 minutes.
Arctic Blast: Experiments in Frost at Anchor Bend Glassworks
Arctic Blast: Experiments in Frost shows off modern sandblasting & silvering techniques. Frosted handblown glass Anchors, Waves, and Sea Creatures are the centerpieces of this show.
61st Annual Newport Saint Patrick's Day Parade
Get the St. Patrick's Day celebrations started with the Newport parade.
The parade kicks off from the Newport City Hall and runs through Washington Square, down Thames Street, and ends at St. Augustine's Church. Parade will be held rain or shine.
Kids' Story Time at Books on the Square
Parents and children can join storytellers for the ongoing story time events with talented storytellers.
Story Time events last approximately 30 minutes. This event is best suited for children 6 months–6 years old.10:30-11am Mondays, Babies11:00-11:30 a.m. Saturdays, All.
New England Saltwater Fishing Show at RI Convention Center
Get ready for fishing season by attending the New England Saltwater Fishing Show at the Rhode Island Convention Center.
The fishing show features tackle, rods, reels, lures, electronics, charter guides, boats, motors, kayaks, coolers, clothing and everything else you need for the season.
Admission is $10 and Saturday’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Brainweek RI at Brown University
Award-winning author, TED Talk presenter, and University of Southern California Gould School of Law Professor Elyn Saks will deliver the event’s keynote address.
Saks is an expert in mental health law and an advocate for those with mental illness. She herself lives with schizophrenia.
The event is FREE and begins at 2 p.m.
Engineer It! Shadow Science at Providence Children's Museum
Kids investigate the science of shadows as they test objects for opacity, play with scale, and use their bodies to interrupt light beams.
The event goes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Recommended for ages 5 and up.
Bubbles and Beats at Rooftop at Providence G
Spend your Sunday afternoon on the Rooftop at the Providence, and enjoy drink specials all day, music by some of the area's top DJs*, and relax by one of several fire pits.
Newport Seal Tour
Take a one-hour tour aboard one of our education vessels as we cruise through historic Newport Harbor and take in 360-degree views of seals resting on Citing Rock off of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge.
