PawSox Hall of Fame Induction

The Pawtucket Red Sox have announced that Jim Rice, Wade Boggs and Ben Mondor will be inducted, as the inaugural class, to the Pawtucket Red Sox Hall of Fame.

The ceremony will take place at approximately 6:30 p.m. prior to the game against Scranton Wilkes-Barre, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.

Food Truck Friday

It's Food Truck Fridayt at Roger Williams Park Zoo at Carousel Village from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Enjoy great food, live music and a beer garden tonight and every Friday until October 28.

The event is free to attend, but there are nominal fees to ride the carousel, participate in pony rides, or to enjoy the bounce house.

Bring Your Own Improv Family Friendly Comedy Show

Bring Your Own Improv is in it's 9th season at the Warwick Museum of Art. The show is an interactive show that is fun for the entire family and encourages audience participation.

The show goes from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for seniors, military & Children 12 and under.

Newport Jazz Festival

It’s Jazz Festival weekend at Fort Adams State Park and as always the line-up is impressive. The Festival continues its longstanding tradition of bringing established stars and young guns to the Fort. Headliners include Norah Jones, Chick Corea, Kamasi Washington and Gregory Porter. Body Worlds Vital at RI Convention Center

BODY WORLDS Vital celebrates the potential of the human body and the body in motion. Featuring authentic human bodies, the exhibition shows the body in health, distress, and disease. These detailed anatomical studies, compositions, and representations allow visitors a penetrating gaze at what lies beneath the skin.

The Hop Street Farmers market takes place at Lippit Park starting at 9 a.m. on Saturdays.

Wizard of Oz at Theatre by the Sea

"We are off to see the wizard..."

This is the opening weeken of Wizard of Oz at Theatre by the Sea. Wizard of Oz is one of the great movies of all-time and is a great stage show as well.

Providence Flea

Sunday is the first day of the Providence Flea taking place on 345 South Water St. in Providence.

Head to the Flea to pick up some vintage finds, fashion, furniture, art, local artisans and much more.
