Food Truck Friday at Carousel Village

It's the final food truck Friday at Roger Williams Park Carousel Village from 5 - 8 p.m.

Enjoy a variety of food from some of the best food trucks in the area and ride the Carousel. There will also be live music and beer from Trinity Brewing. 

Roger Williams Park is located at 1000 Elmwood Avenue in Providence.

Brian Blade at Columbus Theatre

The Columbus Theatre in Providence will be hosting its first ever live concert recording on Friday August 21 with acclaimed jazz musician Brian Blade and The Fellowship Band.

Tickets for the Brain Blade Fellowship are available here for $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Doors open at 7PM, Music begins around 8PM.

Columbus Theatre is located at 270 Broadway in Providence.

My Sky Exhibit at Prov Children's Museum

A fun and educational day is in store whn visiting the My Sky exhibit at the Providence Childrens Museum. A perfect activity for a rainy summer day. 

The exhibit allows parents and kids alike to discover an immersive traveling exhibit exploring the universe. The exhibit is on display until September 7.

Providence Roller Derby: Mob Squad vs The Sakonnet River Rats

Looking for a new sport to get into? Head to the Alex & Ani Center to see Providence Roller Derby.

The match starts at 7 p.m. and seating is first come first serve but bleacher seats are available.

Full Lighting of Waterfire

Head to Providence for a full lighting of waterfire and while you are there watch Argentine Tango. The dance performance begins at 8:30 p.m. and will happen at various locations throughout the night.

The performances come from Providence Tango and Argentine Tango at the Towers.

Young Frankenstein at Theatre by the Sea

From the creators of the Broadway hit "The Producers," comes "Young Frankenstein."

The story follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein as he attempts to complete his grandfather's masterwork and bring a corpse to life.

Shows recur daily with 2 p.m. matinees and 8 p.m. evening shows.

Theatre by the sea is located at 364 Cards Pond Road in Matunick, RI.

Whiskey Tour and Tasting

Like Whiskey? Head over to the Sons of Liberty Distellery and take tour and get a taste of their freshly made Whiskey. 

Tours run on Saturday from 12 to 4 p.m. and last about 20 minutes. Tours run every half hour.

The second annual Providence Folk Festival is coming to the Roger Williams National Memorial in Providence. The festival will run from noon to 6 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, September 20.

This free family-friendly event is bringing some top national and local talent to the capital city including Cliff Eberhardt and The Nields.

Alex & Ani Sunday Jazz Fest at Carolynn's Sakonnet Vinyards

Alex and Ani will host a Jazz Fest Carolynn's Sakonnet Vinyards which runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Carolynn's Sakonnet Vinyards is located at 162 West Main Road in Little Compton.

Admission is $10 per car.
