    Newport Gulls vs North Adams at Cardines Field 

    The Newport Gulls are back at Cardines Field to host the North Adams Steeplecats. 

    Both teams come into the game searching for their first win of the season. 

    First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.

    Get Lucky Performing at the Newport Blues Cafe

    The rock band Get Lucky is performing a the Newport Blues Cafe on Friday night. 

    The band is comprised of Bobby Sousa on keys, Steve Biondi on bass, George Global on guitar and keys, Todd Marshall on drums, with Jeff Cabral and Shana Hilario on Lead Vocals.

    The show begins at 10 p.m.

    Free Common Burying Ground Guided Tour at Newport Common Burying Ground

    The tour will start at the entrance on Warner Street (at Burnside Avenue). The focus of the tour will be stones carved in the 1700s, many from the Stevens shop.

    A highlight of the visit will be God's Little Acre, the largest collections of gravestones form people of African heritage in Colonial New England, and a review the recent work of the city in conserving these important historic artifacts.
