3 teams entered tournament play unbeaten in league games in RIIL Girls' Basketball, but only 1 of those teams was able to complete a perfect season. That team has proven itself worthy of the top spot in the final Power Pack of the season. Spots 2-10? Check the slides below to see how the best of the best stack up.

  • Scituate

Division Record: 14-2 (Division 2 North)

    Overall Record: 16-2

Postseason: Defeated Tiverton in the First Round of the Division 2 Tournament; Defeated Lincoln in the Division 2 Quarterfinals; Lost to St. Raphael in the Division 2 Semifinals.

Scituate snags the final spot in the Power Pack after a solid playoff run to the Division 2 Semifinals.  The Spartans were the 2nd best offensive team in Division 2 (behind only Rogers) and averaged over 56 points per game.

  • South Kingstown

Division Record: 14-4 (Division 1 South)

    Overall Record: 16-5

Postseason: Defeated Cumberland in the First Round of the Division 1 Tournament; Lost to Barrington in the Division 1 Quarterfinals.

South Kingstown had a solid season in Division 1 before bowing out to Barrington as the Eagles made a run to the Division 1 Final.  The Rebels were the 3rd best defensive team in Division 1 this season at 36.3 points allowed per game.

  • Coventry

Division Record: 15-1 (Division 2 South)

    Overall Record: 19-3

Postseason: Defeated Classical in the First Round of the Division 2 Tournament; Defeated Moses Brown in the Division 2 Quarterfinals; Lost to Rogers in the Division 2 Semifinals.

Coventry only lost to one team this year in Division 2, and it was the eventual state champion Rogers who beat the Oakers in the regular season and in the tournament.  Coventry still had a top 10 team, however, and ranks 3rd among D2 teams in the final Power Pack.

  • Juanita Sanchez

Division Record: 14-0 (Division 3 South)

    Overall Record: 20-3

Postseason: Defeated Central in the Division 3 Semifinals; Defeated North Smithfield in the Division 3 Final.

Juanita Sanchez repeated as Division 3 champions this season, and did so with authority.  The Lady Cavs averaged nearly 70 points per game and blew out most of the competition in Division 3, including a 59-32 victory over North Smithfield in the State Championship Game.

  • La Salle

Division Record: 15-3 (Division 1 North)

    Overall Record: 16-5

Postseason: Defeated Ponaganset in the Division 1 Quarterfinals; Lost to North Kingstown in the Division 1 Semifinals.

La Salle was far and away the best team in Division 1 North this season, and the combination of the Rams' skill and their easier schedule led to La Salle finishing 2nd in Division 1 in points scored and fewest points allowed.  The Rams took North Kingstown to the wire in the Division 1 Semifinals but lost by a mere 3 points.

  • St. Raphael

Division Record: 16-0 (Division 2 Central)

    Overall Record: 16-2

Postseason: Defeated Mount St. Charles in the First Round of the Division 2 Tournament; Defeated West Warwick in the Division 2 Quarterfinals; Defeated Scituate in the Division 2 Semifinals; Lost to Rogers in the Division 2 Final.

St. Raphael lost just one game all year in Division 2 (the state title game to Rogers) and deserve to be in the Top 5 at season's end.  The Saints were the top defensive team in Division 2 this season, allowing just 29.5 points per game.

  • St. Mary's Bay View

Division Record: 18-0 (Division 1 Central)

    Overall Record: 20-2

Postseason: Defeated Smithfield in the Division 1 Quarterfinals; Lost to Barrington in the Division 1 Semifinals.

Finishing 18-0 in the toughest region in Division 1 (the Central) was quite the feat for the Bengals this season, but divisional foe Barrington finally got over the hump and upset Bay View in a 1 point game in the Division 1 Semifinals.  It was still a fantastic season for Bay View, but in the end there were too many good teams in Division 1 for anyone to run the table for the full season.

  • Barrington

Division Record: 15-3 (Division 1 Central)

    Overall Record: 17-6

Postseason: Defeated South Kingstown in the Division 1 Quarterfinals; Defeated Bay View in the Division 1 Semifinals; Lost to North Kingstown in the Division 1 Final.

Barrington saved their best basketball for the playoffs, and the Eagles lost a 2 point thriller to North Kingstown in the Division 1 Final.  Barrington's incredible postseason run included wins over South Kingstown and a previously undefeated Bay View team that was the favorite to win the Tournament.

  • North Kingstown

Division Record: 16-2 (Division 1 South)

    Overall Record: 21-2

Postseason: Defeated Westerly in the Division 1 Quarterfinals; Defeated La Salle in the Division 1 Semifinals; Defeated Barrington in the Division 1 Final.

North Kingstown was the best offensive and defensive team in Division 1 during the regular season, and the Skippers gutted their way to the state championship behind an outstanding group of seniors.  They've earned their spot as the highest rated team in Division 1.
