At Brown, Wilbur oversaw all operational aspects of a dual degree program for medical students, which included managing a grant portfolio of $2.5 million and coordinating the year-long immersive training program.
Before her work at Brown, she held positions at Women and Infants Hospital in Providence and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where she focused on quality and process improvement projects within neonatal settings.
RI Nursing Education Center
The Rhode Island Nursing Education Center is a partnership between the University of Rhode Island and Rhode Island College, intended to advance the education of aspiring and practicing nurses and enable both programs to meet the increasing demands for high-quality nurses.
Scheduled to open in the summer of 2017, the Center occupies more than 130,000 sq-ft of space at South Street Landing in Providence, in close proximity to the state’s major hospitals and Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School.
The Center will feature shared simulation laboratories and innovative teaching and learning spaces designed to support immersive, hands-on curricula and distinguish the Center as a national leader in nursing education.
It will also serve as a regional professional development and training center.
