Brewed Awakenings' fifth and largest coffee house will debut in September in Warwick, Rhode Island at 1316 Bald Hill Road. The new shop will encompass 8000 sq. ft.

“This new location includes several unique features and distinctive elements.  The large space also allowed us to be creative with the eating areas.” said David Levesque, Owner of Brewed Awakenings.  “It’s our second shop to have a drive thru with two pull forward spots to keep cars moving along.”

New features

The location will also provide catering options and an improved iced coffee tap system to its customers.

“Warwick’s new ovens, Panini grill, bakery chef and food manager, have allowed us to be a little more unique with its menu,” added Levesque.

The new location will include two outdoor patios, one with heat lamps for year-round comfort and one with an open layout for warmer weather.  Both patios will include a variety of seating from lounge chairs to large and small tables with their own music source and volume control.   Levesque also described some of the sitting areas as “quiet and hidden.”

“Our Warwick location will operate from 5 a.m. to midnight on weekends and late night Sunday through Thursday in order to accommodate Route 2’s heavy traffic,” Levesque said.  “We expect to hire upwards of 45 employees in both full and part-time positions.”

Project team

DiPrete Engineering, Attorney Joseph Shekarchi and Frank Karpowicz Architects rounded out the newest Brewed Awakenings’ project team.

Brewed Awakenings and DiPrete Engineering collaborated to provide permitting and engineering for the fifth location.

“This is our second project collaboration with the Brewed Awakenings team,” said Dennis DiPrete. “In 2012, we helped transform the vacant Sunoco station on Pontiac Avenue in Cranston into a new coffee house.  The result was phenomenal and our expectations for this location are just as high.”
